Interpretation of competitive sports terms

Competitive sports refers to a kind of sports activity process with the main purpose of climbing the peak of sports technology and creating excellent sports results on the basis of fully developing the body and maximizing the potential of people (individuals or groups) in physical strength, psychology and intelligence.

Competitive sports have official historical records and legends, aiming at defeating competitors to obtain tangible or intangible value benefits, and are carried out among members or representatives of officially organized sports groups, emphasizing the display of physical strength and intelligence within the limits set by formal rules that clearly define the responsibilities and status of participants through competitions.

The English equivalent of competitive sports is sport, which comes from the ancient Latin deportare. Sport originally refers to "outdoor activities full of joy according to physical strength", including shooting, fishing, hunting and other entertainment activities, and later evolved into a collection of competitive games, entertainment and sports, and spread widely around the world with the popularity of English.
