Luoyang No.1 High School, referred to as Luoyigao for short, is located in Luolong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is the first batch of demonstration high schools and key high schools in Henan Province, and was once praised by Hu Shi as one of the top 20 middle schools in China.

Luoyang No.1 Middle School was born in the 30th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1904). Formerly affiliated middle school, it was one of the 100 middle schools built by the Qing government with boxer indemnity. The name of the school has changed several times, including junior high school, Luo Yang Middle School, No.8 Middle School, Zhongshan Middle School, Provincial Luozhong School and Western Henan Union Middle School. After several relocations, the school site moved to Neixiang, Henan, Fufeng, Kaifeng and Wujiang, Jiangsu.

1954, the high school moved to the former site of Hoonji, East Shuanglong Lane, Jiamaying Road, and was officially renamed as "Luoyang No.1 High School". In 2000, Luoyang No.1 Middle and Western Campus was completed and put into use. As of 20 10, the school has 8 1 class, more than 4,500 teachers and students, and 298 faculty members. In 2020 10, 165438 was named the second national civilized campus.

1904, the middle school attached to Henan Province was established. It was one of the 100 middle schools built by the Qing government with boxer indemnity, and its establishment opened the precedent of modern education in Luoyang and even in western Henan.

In the early days of the founding of the school, progressive teachers and students such as Yang Mianzhai, Liu Chunren and Wang Guangqing, leaders of the Xinhai Revolution, took the school as the source of the Xinhai Revolution in western Henan and guided the anti-Qing movement in western Henan and even Shaanxi.

As of 20 15, Silla No.1 Middle School is located at the southern end of Xuefu Street in Luoyang, covering an area of 300 mu, with Longmen Mountain in the south and Luohe River in the north.
