The difference between ancient Western philosophy and traditional Chinese culture

There is a huge difference in their meanings. The concept of ontology in Western philosophy is often understood as intellectualized, formalized, and spiritualized, and is given more of an epistemological, intellectual, and psychological significance, and not often as a cosmic entity. In Chinese philosophy, however, the concept of ontology is often interpreted as an actualized reality. In the philosophies of Laozi and Zhuangzi, the Tao is the ontology, and the Tao is the thing itself. The only way to achieve the Tao is through the "loss after loss" of the world of meaning. Every thing has its own essence, its own Tao, so it is possible that the Tao is in the rubble, the Tao is in the shit. In Buddhist philosophy, especially in Zen Buddhism, Buddha nature is the essence, the thing itself. The essence of Buddhahood is to abandon all the knowledge and understanding that the human mind imposes on Buddhahood, the so-called "separate mind," and to return to the thing itself. As for the experience of the essence, there is also a difference between Chinese and Western philosophies. In Western philosophy, especially in Kant's case, the self is the boundary of the human mind's empirical cognition, which cannot be crossed, and thus the absolute law and the God on the other side in the field of morality and faith are created indiscriminately. Thus, "the Tu people can be Yao and Shun", everyone can get the way, everyone wants to be the emperor.
