Bluetooth BLE, what is Bluetooth BLE?

Bluetooth module refers to the basic circuit set of a chip with integrated Bluetooth function, which is used for wireless network communication. Bluetooth module is generally composed of chip, PCB board and peripheral equipment.

Simply put, the function of Bluetooth module is to replace wired connection with wireless connection, and form personal local area network with fixed and mobile information devices to realize low-cost wireless interconnection communication between devices.

Bluetooth module is divided into 1.2, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0.1,4.2, 5.0 according to the standard. Usually the latter is compatible with the former;

According to the application and supported protocols, Bluetooth module can be divided into classic Bluetooth module (BT) and low-power Bluetooth module (BLE).

Classic Bluetooth Module (BT): refers to the module supporting Bluetooth protocol below 4.0, which is generally used for big data transmission, such as voice, music and high data transmission.

Low power Bluetooth module (BLE) refers to a module that supports Bluetooth protocol version 4.0 or higher, also known as BLE module. Its biggest feature is the reduction of cost and power consumption, and it is applied to products with high real-time requirements but low data rate, such as remote control (mouse and keyboard) and data transmission of sensing equipment (heartbeat belt, sphygmomanometer and temperature sensor).

The low-power Bluetooth technology uses the same adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) technology as the traditional Bluetooth technology, so it can ensure the stable transmission of low-power Bluetooth in the "noisy" RF environment in residential, industrial and medical applications. In order to minimize the cost and power consumption of using AFH, the low-power Bluetooth technology reduces the number of channels from 79 1 MHz wide channels in the traditional Bluetooth technology to 40 2 MHz wide channels. Compared with the traditional Bluetooth technology, a new function added by the low-power Bluetooth technology is the "broadcast" function. With this function, the slave device can inform it that it needs to send data to the master device.

Bluetooth module is divided into industrial grade and commercial grade according to temperature. SKYLAB BLE Bluetooth module conforms to industrial standards and can adapt to various harsh environments, and its working temperature range is -40~85℃.

Chips are divided into four categories according to their temperature adaptability and reliability:

Commercial grade (0~70℃), industrial grade (-40~85℃), automobile grade (-40~ 120℃) and military grade (-55~ 150℃) are generally distinguished according to the suffix letters of chip models, but the suffix letters are different according to different manufacturers.

2. Positioning application: indoor positioning and underground positioning;

3. Handheld POS system: the scanning information of the handset, the card swiping information of the POS machine and the information submitted by the mobile phone are wirelessly transmitted to the terminal;

4. Close-range data acquisition: wireless meter reading, wireless telemetry and wireless sensor status acquisition;

5. Data transmission: printer, charging pile, mouse, keyboard, Bluetooth dimming, smart home indoor control, industrial wireless control, etc.
