With cell phones gradually replacing TV, will TV disappear in the future?
I don't think TV will disappear, because TV is not only a tool for watching programs, but also has been given a lot of other meanings.
With the continuous development of the Internet, the cell phone has gradually become an indispensable tool in life. There are so many functions that we can achieve with cell phones, so many that many appliances in real life can be replaced. But I think TV may change its shape in the future, but it won't disappear.
The TV is not only a tool for watching programs, but also one of the essential home decorations. I don't know when it started, but every home has a TV wall in its decoration. If there is not a TV hanging on this wall, it will look empty and especially ugly.
This also leads to even after the TV is installed and never turned on, when moving into a new home before we must buy a TV there. This is because it not only serves as a tool to play programs, but also serves as a decorative piece in your home.
I've never seen anyone move into a house without a TV.
I don't think TV is going away, at least not anytime soon. While cell phones are capable of all the functions of a TV, it's only for young people. For my father's generation, playing with smartphones is still at the stage where you can only receive calls.
In their lives, TV was the essential pastime. At their current age, TV is unlikely to be obsolete for decades to come.
Maybe in many years, TV will become obsolete, a memento mori, but I don't think I can wait for that.
Mobile phones can read e-books, but there are still many people who buy special e-book reading tools; cell phones can watch movies, but there are still people who pay money to go to the cinema to see the same thing; cell phones can watch TV, but they can't replace the TV's position in the family.
The future of television will not be the same; it will still be rooted in millions of homes.
