What are the sources and architectural features of Caocao Caotang in Keyuan, Dongguan?
The famous thatched cottage was built by Zhang to commemorate his military career. He recalled that when he led troops to fight, he ate, lived, slept and did everything hastily, so he built this thatched cottage.
Of course, Zhang takes the name of "Caocao Caotang" as his motto, reminding himself from time to time that food, clothing, housing and transportation are not necessary, but one's conduct and work must not be sloppy. There is a couplet on Cao Cao's thatched cottage:
Grassland does not grow grass;
Dare to call it off.
The construction of Cao Cao Caotang is quite elaborate, which shows that Cao Cao Caotang was not built in a hurry. On one wall of Cao Cao Caotang, there is a closet made of stepping boards. On the wall, there are traces of stains left by Ju Lian, the founder of Lingnan Painting School, when he lived in the nest and painted.
