What is the earliest extant Chinese medicine book in China?
The earliest extant Chinese medicine book in China is Shennong Herbal Classic. Also known as "Materia Medica Classic" or "Benjing", one of the four classic works of traditional Chinese medicine, as the earliest extant works of traditional Chinese medicine, originated in Shennong, passed down from generation to generation, and was compiled into a book in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica is divided into three volumes, containing 365 kinds of drugs. Many medical scientists in Qin and Han dynasties collected, summarized and sorted out the monographs on pharmaceutical experience at that time, which was the first book in China to systematically summarize traditional Chinese medicine. The translator and annotator of this book, Mr. and Mrs. Andre, are experts in Sinology, and have translated and published many books on China's traditional culture.
