Progress in Photonics of Airborne Equipment

The progress of photonics in airborne equipment has broken through the electronic category. After entering the spectrum, from infrared, visible light to ultraviolet, all the equipment has been put into use or under development, and laser technology has also entered the airborne field with a striking attitude, and the concept of airborne photon technology came into being.

Compared with most elementary particles (such as electrons and quarks), photons have no rest mass (Einstein's formula of motion mass m =m0/sqr[ 1-(v/c)], and the denominator of the formula is 0, but the motion mass m of photons has a finite value, so the rest mass of photons must be zero.

Application analysis:

Airborne photoelectric load is equipped on fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, drones and other platforms, and adopts photoelectric detection technology, laser photo measurement technology, image stabilization search technology, image processing technology and target tracking and positioning technology to complete combat tasks such as situation awareness, target detection and positioning, guidance and strike effect evaluation.

According to the different carrier platforms, airborne photoelectric load can be divided into fixed-wing combat aircraft airborne photoelectric load, helicopter airborne photoelectric load, UAV airborne photoelectric load and so on. According to the task and application requirements, airborne photoelectric load is divided into photoelectric detection and countermeasure system.
