Thyroid diseases are common endocrine system diseases in clinic, mainly including hyperthyroidism, thyroiditis, thyroid cysts, thyroid tumors, etc., which seriously threaten health.
Hyperthyroidism: The causes of hyperthyroidism include diffuse toxic goiter (Graves' disease), inflammatory hyperthyroidism (subacute thyroiditis, painless thyroiditis, postpartum thyroiditis and Hashimoto's hyperthyroidism), drug-induced hyperthyroidism (hyperthyroidism caused by levothyroxine sodium and iodine), hCG-related hyperthyroidism (temporary hyperthyroidism caused by pregnancy vomiting) and pituitary TSH tumor hyperthyroidism.
More than 80% of hyperthyroidism is caused by Graves' disease, which is an autoimmune disease of thyroid. The patient's lymphocytes produce immunoglobulin TSI, which stimulates the thyroid gland. The TSI clinically determined is thyrotropin receptor antibody: TRAb. The etiology of Graves' disease is not clear at present, which may be related to factors such as fever, lack of sleep and great mental stress, but most patients can't find the etiology in clinic. Graves' disease is often complicated with other autoimmune diseases, such as vitiligo, alopecia, 1 diabetes, etc.
Some inflammatory diseases of thyroid gland are collectively called thyroiditis, including chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, Hashimoto's disease and subacute thyroiditis, which can cause fever and neck pain.
Autoimmunity, virus infection, bacterial infection, fungal infection, chronic sclerosis, radiation injury, granuloma, drugs, trauma and many other reasons are related to the onset of thyroiditis. Bacterial infections such as staphylococcus, streptococcus and pneumococcus can cause acute thyroiditis. Thyroid virus infection, such as coxsackie virus, mumps virus, influenza virus and adenovirus infection, is considered as the cause of subacute thyroiditis, and can also occur after non-viral infection (such as Q fever or malaria). In addition, genetic susceptibility and environmental factors are also related to the pathogenesis of autoimmune thyroid.
