How to measure the quality of electric fan motor?

1. Test the gear with a digital meter and adjust the gear to 0 Ω-2kΩ. The fan motor is single-phase AC 220v, which is started by starting capacitor. The motor has two windings, one is the starting winding and the other is the running winding.

2. The starting winding resistance is large and the running winding resistance is small. The motor has three actual leads. Use multimeter to measure the DC resistance between three wires, which is the resistance of starting winding+the resistance of running winding, and then the resistance of starting winding and running winding.

3. Adjust the multimeter to 20mω, measure the winding, and randomly select any one of the three wires of the motor, so that the insulation resistance between it and the stator core of the motor should be above 2mΩ. You can use this to check whether there is something wrong with the motor.

4. Finally, check the capacitance. When the fan is on, you can switch the fan blades. If it can be rotated, the capacitor must be broken, and you need to go to the home appliance maintenance department to change it to the same model.
