What does photovoltaic mean?
Photovoltaic power generation is a technology that utilizes the photovoltaic effect at the interface of semiconductors and transforms light energy directly into electrical energy. It consists of three main components: solar panels (modules), controllers and inverters, with the main components consisting of electronic components. Solar cells are connected in series and then encapsulated for protection to form a large area of solar modules, together with the power controller and other components to form a photovoltaic power generation device.
In the photovoltaic effect, the two ends of the solar cell generates an electric potential, the light energy into electrical energy, is the energy conversion device. Solar cells are generally silicon cells, divided into monocrystalline silicon solar cells, polycrystalline silicon solar cells and amorphous silicon solar cells three.
Photovoltaic precautions
Long-running photovoltaic power generation system, the panel accumulation of dust on its impact should not be underestimated. Panel surface dust has the role of reflection, scattering and absorption of solar radiation, can reduce the transmittance of the sun, resulting in the panel to receive the reduction of solar radiation, the output power is also reduced, and its role and the cumulative thickness of the dust is proportional.
In addition, because the dust absorbs solar radiation can make the photovoltaic panel heating, and the dust contains some corrosive chemical components, which also makes its photoelectric conversion efficiency is reduced.
