What are the ways of thinking?

1. Thinking can be divided into action thinking, image thinking and abstract thinking according to the material dimension.

(1) action thinking

Action thinking is thinking mixed with practical actions.

(2) Thinking in images

Thinking in images is a kind of thinking activity that makes use of existing images.

(3) Abstract thinking

Abstract thinking, also known as logical thinking, is a thinking activity using concepts.

Concept is a form of thinking that people reflect the essential attributes of things, so abstract thinking is the core form of human thinking. It can be divided into formal logical thinking and dialectical logical thinking. Concepts in formal logic are not contradictory, and have the characteristics of certainty, absoluteness, stillness and singleness, while concepts in dialectical logic are contradictory, changing, relative, moving and diverse. Dialectical logical thinking is formed on the basis of the development of formal logical thinking, is the advanced stage of abstract thinking, and is the reflection of the opposition movement that exists universally in nature.

2. Thinking can be divided into convergent thinking and divergent thinking according to the thinking direction of exploring the answers to questions.

(1) Convergent thinking

Aggregation thinking, also known as seeking common ground thinking and convergent thinking, is a kind of thinking that aggregates all kinds of information provided by questions to get the correct or best answer.

(2) Divergent thinking

Divergent thinking, also known as divergent thinking and radiation thinking, is a thinking that starts from a goal and seeks various answers along various channels.

3. According to the creative dimension of thinking, thinking can be divided into re-creative thinking and creative thinking.

(1) Creative thinking

Reconstructive thinking, also known as conventional thinking, refers to the thinking that people use the acquired knowledge and experience to solve problems in the usual way.

(2) Creative thinking

Creative thinking refers to solving problems in a new and original way.

4. According to the goal dimension of thinking, thinking can be divided into ascending thinking, solving thinking and decision thinking.

(1) Ascending thinking

Ascending thinking refers to the formation of thinking with general characteristics and regularity from the experience of individual things through analysis, synthesis, comparison, induction and generalization.

(2) Solving thinking

Solution thinking is the thinking that seeks to solve specific problems.

(3) Decision thinking

Decision thinking is the thinking of estimating the possibility of future events and choosing the best solution from them.
