What kind of state and psychology is "no self"?
"Buddha" is "the awakened one". "If you have a perfect mind, you have five eyes and six roots, and you gain' no leakage' wisdom." "No leakage" means getting rid of all troubles. All "heterodox" practices that seek dharma from the outside of the heart can only achieve five magical powers, and only those who have obtained Buddha's enlightenment can obtain "all secret dharma".
How can we break all the troubles and "leak" everything until we really "have no self"? The root of the trouble is me. With eight minds, it is easy to stop without the accumulated karma seeds of "infatuation, separation and persistence" Not to mention the six ordinary people, even the three sages, Arhat and Buddha and Bodhisattva, all cultivated fruits in stages. Mahayana sages (heard of) break the heart of "holding", Mahayana Bodhisattva breaks the heart of "leaving". Only when Mahayana Bodhisattva awakens can she gain dharma body and enter the realm of no "delusion".
"Honesty, purity, peace, awareness and sadness"11This is the realm of becoming a Buddha without me. A "clean" heart, free from clinging and pollution, is the realm of Arhat, who regards independence as "self-satisfaction". There is no difference between "equal heart" and "the heart of all beings" All sentient beings can only prove Bodhi if they are exhausted. Hell is not empty, they will never become buddhas. Manjusri, Pu Xian, Guanyin, the realm of Tibetan Bodhisattva. Enlightenment in place, eliminate delusion, that is, the realm of Buddha and land, complete happiness and wisdom, endless nirvana, infinite wisdom of the great circle mirror, integration with all beings, neither birth nor extinction nor impurity. Return to no birth and death, no purity, no vacillation, enough self-sufficiency, and give birth to self-awareness of various laws.
If you want to understand it now, and gradually prove it with teaching, look at the following sentence:
See through him, let him go, feel at ease, follow the fate and read Buddha.
"all laws are born of reason, and the theory of Buddha is empty." In order to understand the emptiness of "I", it is all "karma" and karma is "impermanence", so "I" is not persistent. Although it is clear in theory, it is only useful in practice. He who sees through helps to let go, and he who sees through is farther away. The philosophy of the cloth bag monk can be lifted and put down, and a big belly can accommodate him.
No self is a state.
I am in the Tao, the Tao is in me, and everything is the same. You have me and I have you. With great sorrow.
No ego, no selfishness, no difference, no jealousy, no respect, no hatred, no evil, no delusion, no obsession, all beings are equal, modest and respectful.
Without me, there would be no one, no life and nothing in my heart. Eyes do not follow the color, ears do not follow the sound, nose does not follow the fragrance, tongue does not follow the taste, body does not follow the touch, heart does not follow the law. Surrender to the six thieves. If you can't hear the drums, you should go to the wall. If you don't move, you won't go. If you don't come, you won't come. You don't know anything about the outside world. Hold on to wisdom, hold on to wisdom, hold on to wisdom.
When Buddhism first came to China, no one knew the real Buddha and no one listened to his teachings. Only one bird said to Dharma, "Come from the west, come from the west, and teach me how to get out." The Buddha said, "Kick your legs and close your eyes, and you will come out." The bird soon understood. When it saw its owner coming home, it quickly kicked and closed its eyes. When the master came back and saw his beloved bird kicking, he quickly took the bird out of the cage and put it on his palm. How did the bird die? While he was in a daze, the bird suddenly took off. The bird really escaped from the cage and flew away. It is free and will never be caged again. This question just shows that no ego is free.
There is nothing in the eyes and nothing in the ears. Without me, no one, no sentient beings, no life, no freedom.
After a human body proves that there is no self, he realizes the truth between the universe and life. He found that when he broke through many restrictions and got rid of the illusory shackles in his ideological understanding, the "I" that he adhered to in life disappeared, and the previous individual consciousness disappeared, and I "died". Then it was replaced by boundless cosmic consciousness. Some people sigh that this vast heart is the universe, and the universe is the heart! In Zhuangzi's "Happy Travel", Kunpeng, who smiles proudly between heaven and earth, is a metaphor for the state of mind at this time, which is boundless freedom. It is the great freedom to "do what you want from your heart without overstepping the rules", and it is the great freedom to "swim endlessly by the meaning of heaven and earth and resist the debate of six qi"
The fundamental meaning of life lies in discovering this truth and melting that limited self into this boundless universe. At this time, the five aggregates are empty, and all the hardships are sweet. We will know there is no difference between color and space, and there is no difference between space and color. Deeply aware of all legal emptiness, the real legal world is immortal, unclean, neither increasing nor decreasing. At this time, all binary opposition has been eliminated, and there is no longer old and dead, ignorance and ignorance, suffering and wisdom. We have gone beyond the limitations of binary thinking and come to an integrated spiritual consciousness. No fear in the heart, no fear in the heart, and finally nirvana.
Without me, I don't think normal people can do it. I saw a horror movie in which a cult locked up a girl and tortured her every day. Finally, the girl cultivated to the realm of no self, so that she could tear off her skin without anesthetic and feel no pain. Who can do it! Buddhism says that the state of no self is not something that most of us can feel. I only have one state of no self. At the moment I entered the room, Araille's consciousness appeared and left my body with my whole consciousness, feeling all kinds of pains I had suffered before. At this time, the people next to me are looking at my body in a state of no self, because the whole person can't feel himself at all and has been drifting in these painful pictures. But I always feel that it is a lie to myself to achieve this state through cultivation. Only a few people can have this ability, but not with their own bodies. Some people can say a lot of Buddhism in theory, which makes many people believe it, but they don't even have a chance to feel it once. The true state of selflessness is known only to those who have felt it.
"No self" is the opposite of clinging to "I". This "me" in life, this body and the six dusts produced by the body are actually just accidental existence, not real, and everything will disappear with the years. Compared with the time when the whole universe was formed in just a few decades, life is so small and insignificant. What is there to miss? As the saying goes, wine and meat pass through the intestines, but Buddha stays in his heart. If a person can understand the vanity of clinging to "me", he can experience the purification of his soul and finally get a happy life.
However, it is not common to achieve "no self" in real life. People often cling to certain ideas, such as to satisfy their material and spiritual wealth, at the expense of many pains and troubles, but often ignore the backwardness in life. Mr. Nan, a master of modern Chinese studies, said that all sentient beings have a kind of "self-control", that is, they are very obsessed with "I"! Take all your delusions, consciousness, troubles, all unrealistic thoughts and thoughts as true. At this point, many people made fundamental mistakes. In fact, all the changes in our thoughts, psychology and consciousness are a phenomenon or change produced by that "heart", not the real heart. But when people firmly grasp the phenomenon, they will take these changes as their hearts. Buddhists pay attention to constancy rather than instantaneity. In the evening self-study Buddhism class, I read every day: "Life has passed, and my life has also decreased. How can you be happy if there are fewer water fish? " Today is over, and this life is a little short. Today has passed and will not come again. Youth has passed, and aging has not stayed long. Looks sad. However, what is revealed behind this sadness is an understanding of the impermanence of life. Life is like a dream, like dew, like electricity. You really need to stabilize your mind, so that you can sit down and watch Yun Qi, not be confused by fantasy, and cultivate a Zen mind. The difference between Buddha and sentient beings? Buddha is always merciful, everything is "self-free", and all living beings are always obsessed with the material and spiritual desires and vanity fair in "self", and it is difficult to give up. Many people may laugh to themselves. Is the realm of Buddha attainable by ordinary people? Actually, it is not.
The Diamond Sutra tells us that the so-called everyman is originally a pseudonym and there is no real everyman. The pen name is everyman. In other words, all sentient beings are Buddhas and everyone is the seed of Buddhas, but all sentient beings can't find their own nature. If you find it, you're not an ordinary person. Everyone is a Buddha and all beings are equal. Therefore, there is no difference between Zen, mind, Buddha and sentient beings. The heart is the Buddha, and when you realize it, this heart is the Buddha; I didn't expect Buddha to be an ordinary person. There is no difference between heart, Buddha and sentient beings, and they are equal.
There is no difference between heart, Buddha and sentient beings. Everyone is born a Buddha, but many people are trapped by the secular world, so they lose their nature and think they can't become a Buddha. Therefore, you don't have to sell yourself short. As long as you are willing to give up everything to practice, you can still become a Buddha
Why can't you become a Buddha by practicing Taoism in your life? Mr. nan huaijin, a master of Chinese studies, thinks that because I can't get rid of the "body meeting" at first, I always feel that if I have this body, I must look at it firmly. Most people always think that the shadow of the six dust circles is the self-mind. What is the shadow of the six dust circles? The light outside can be seen by the eyes. Sound, the sound that the ear can hear. Sweet, the smell that the nose can smell. Taste, the taste that the tongue can taste. Touch, the feeling that the body can feel. Method, thinking of consciousness. The six functions of eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind are the "six roots" in life. Six external dust and six physical phenomena interact with the six roots of the body to produce an image, which is called the shadow of six dust. For example, photos, movies and television are all shadows and illusions, but these shadows are very powerful and will cause our joys and sorrows. Seeing their pain, we also suffer; We are glad to meet them. Knowing that it is false, it is still influenced by it.
In real life, think about our thoughts, all upside down in the shadow of six dusts. For example, when many of us watch movies, we are moved to tears by the characters and events in the movies. Although I knew it was false, I was moved to tears on the spot. Why? Just because I was deceived by the shadow of Liu Chen. Everything in life is a shadow of dust. What happened yesterday can you stay? Can you put it in front of you again? No, it's all over. Are the shadows of fate. However, all people often recall yesterday's events, sometimes extremely angry, sometimes extremely sad, and sometimes extremely happy. Nan huaijin said that all sentient beings are trapped in the shadow of the fate of Six Dust and regard them as their own hearts. Therefore, if a person wants to get rid of all kinds of troubles, he must get rid of all kinds of illusions about "self" and stop clinging to me.
Anyone who studies Buddhism and Zen must first establish a clear outlook on life. People who study Buddhism must first set up such an idea in their hearts. They came to this world all their lives just to pay their debts and repay the grievances of all the people concerned. Because we came into this world with bare hands, we have nothing. Growing up, food and clothing, everything, are the benefits given by all beings, parents, teachers and friends. Only I failed others, and others didn't do anything to me. Therefore, I will try my best to contribute to the people all over the world, in order to thank them for their kindness and pay off my old debts since I was born. Even at the expense of his own life, for the world, for the benefit of the world. The main point of Mahayana Buddhism is to start from this.
In fact, the Confucian spirit's feelings of helping the world are interlinked with the compassion of Buddhists to some extent. Du Fu's wish to "live in a thousand houses, protect the poor in the world and laugh, and be prepared for danger in times of peace in times of wind and rain" is actually completely consistent with the spirit of Buddhism. The so-called "saving all sentient beings in the world without leaving a thought in their hearts" is also a real Buddhist realm, and other than that, it is illusory.
All living beings regard Buddha as Buddha and people as people; The Buddha, on the other hand, believes that all beings are Buddhas and everyone is the seed of Buddhas. Just because they have fallen into the world by mistake, they are stained with the world, so don't blind the glory of the soul. As long as you are willing to practice, everyone has a blooming lotus flower and a seed of Buddha. I have a pearl, which has been locked by dust and labor for a long time. Today, the dust is full of light, and the water in Qian Shan is broken. "
The seventh chapter of Tao Te Ching says: "The sage is behind, but in front, and exists outside." . Therefore, it is easy to understand the realm and psychology of the ego without me. The full text of Chapter VII is as follows:
Forever and ever. The reason why heaven and earth can last long is that they are not born by themselves, so they can live forever. It is based on the sage's body and body first, and the body is outside. Not because of its selfless evil? Therefore, it can be private.
Everything will die when it is alive. On the contrary, nothing will die when it is not alive. Everything that comes into being must die, while things that exist forever have neither life nor death. This is the dialectics of all things. So is the dialectics of life. People who value the gains and losses of their own interests are often as light as a feather and looked down upon in the end, while those who put their lives behind others will always be valued by others, even more important than Mount Tai. Therefore, selflessness is a lofty realm and a mature and harmonious mentality.
What kind of state and psychology is "no self"?
"No self" means "no self", which is a very high realm. It refers to the person with the highest moral cultivation, who can adapt to objectivity, adapt to nature, forget himself, and do not envy seeking any position. Don't forget your initiative and selfless mind; The feelings of home and country live up to the people.
"No self" comes from "Zhuangzi Xiaoyao Tour", the original text is: "If a husband resists the debate of six qi with the meaning of heaven and earth, and swims endlessly, it is evil and treats it badly? Therefore, as the saying goes, "man has no self-nature, god and man are useless, and saints are nameless." "
Selfless, reactive and nameless isomorphism of * * * has become the most ideal personality trait in Zhuangzi's mind and the highest ideal pursuit in countless people with lofty ideals.
"No self" is a concept with China's philosophy and profound cultural value. The word "no self" exploded in the circle of friends, because the supreme leader of China quoted this word on an important diplomatic occasion.
On March 22nd, the top leader of China, who was visiting Italy, was asked a question: "What was your mood when you were elected president, China?" The Supreme Leader of China replied: "I am willing to make selfless dedication and determined to serve the people of China and the development of China. I am willing to achieve a state of no self and devote myself to the development of China. "
This is a straightforward and firm answer. This is an inspiring and touching answer. It is a sincere and emotional answer. Behind this sentence is the inheritance of China's excellent traditional culture, and it hit floor the ambition, responsibility, responsibility and feelings of great country leaders.
"No self" is a kind of belief and pursuit, but also a kind of responsibility and responsibility. There is a saying in Zhuangzi's The Theory of Everything: "Without me, there is no me." When we talk about something, it is easy to talk about it itself. But the boundary of things is not determined by itself (me), but by things that are "not it" (there). If there is no my idea, there is no heart to gain. Any modality in the world depends on "I", and there is a difference with the subject of "I"; When there is a difference, all kinds of desires arise. If there is no concept of "I", I will bear the corresponding responsibility and care nothing. Service will lead to self-loss, and distractions will lead to losses. This is the realm of "no self".
Selflessness is the highest state of "no self" and the highest state of being a man and doing things. In the Qing Dynasty, Wang Guowei also used the word "no self" with a strong philosophical color to talk about his understanding of the aesthetic realm of China's poems. He said: "
There is my territory, but there is no my territory.
"Tears ask the flowers to be silent, and the red flies over the swing", "Cold as a lonely pavilion in spring and the sound of cuckoos in the sunset", has my place;
"Picking chrysanthemums under the east fence, I can see Nanshan leisurely", "Cold wave is faint, Bai Niao is leisurely", and there is no place for me.
There is my realm, I see things, so everything is my color;
Without me, we look at things in terms of things, and we don't know what is mine and what is physical. "
Without me, I always keep a calm heart, and my carefree mood is highly compatible with everything in nature. Without me, it is not that there is no "I", but that "I" and nature have formed a natural harmony and can't tell the difference between things and me. This is not only the highest realm of artistic pursuit, but also natural without carving. This is also the highest realm of being a man and serving the people. Don't forget your selfless initiative.
"I am willing to contribute selflessly and determined to serve the people of China and the development of China" is the best interpretation of the word "no self".
Meso thinks that I have two points, one is that I have five connotations; The other is self. The two are in harmony, and it is difficult to tell the difference. Only when you are happy or angry do you notice that you have an independent self.
What is self? Independent, independent and eternal. These three are the definitions of self. Do we observe the existence of laws that conform to these three rules? You can't find it. Therefore, my self-nature does not exist at all, but ordinary people naturally think that my self-nature really exists. For this self-nature, I have all kinds of troubles, created all kinds of bad karma, suffered all kinds of hardships, and the stream of life and death never stops.
What we want to be empty (or empty, or broken) is this self, not the five elements of self.
What is the state of no self? As stated in the Heart Sutra, the Bodhisattva observed with profound wisdom that the five aggregates are all empty, neither born nor destroyed, neither come nor go, nor polluted and unclean, all Buddhism is empty, there is no self, and my self does not exist. At this time, I have no self in my heart, but my heart is empty. I can't express it in words, so I use vanity to describe it.
When practicing, there will be a quick feeling in my heart, and there will be a great feeling when the realm of self-emptiness appears. Is to define the middle way as void. This is the immortal bodhisattva. Self-identity is the root of trouble. If self-identity is proved to be non-existent, then the source of trouble will be broken and no longer exist. Therefore, saints are not bound by troubles and gain great freedom.
When a saint is in office, he regards all laws as shadows, illusions and sun flames. The concept of self-existence has been broken, and it is the source.
This is the middle view of "the origin has self-emptiness" Emptiness is not the lack of law, but the inner self-persistence.
In order to prove the realm of non-ego, we must first learn to understand the deep middle view, then correct it, observe the reasons in the middle view, and stop observing and practicing. It is necessary to accumulate second-class grain of wisdom and cultivate six degrees and ten thousand lines. Kung fu is born, but it can't be done in a lifetime. I don't know how many robberies the Sixth Ancestor Huineng repaired. The karma is mature, and now it has been proved. Ordinary people should not be delusional, they are easy to go astray.
In Buddhism, there are three kinds of dharma seals, namely impermanence, selflessness and silence and nirvana, all of which are centered on this.
Among them, "all laws have no self" means that all laws do not exist because of me, which means that the laws and rules in the world are objective and there is no "I" at all. Everything that has "my opinion" is biased and has violated the objective facts.
"No self" means that I have eliminated "I see" and "I hold", and I am no longer obsessed with "I", "people", "sentient beings" and "longevity", and I can look at things close to their essence and no longer be confused by appearances.
If a person has "ego" and "ego", he will consider the problem from his own standpoint, but he can't see the essence of the problem from his own standpoint.
It's like two people quarreling, and the public says it's right and the old woman says it's right. If two people consider from their own standpoint, there will be no right and wrong, which are inseparable and contradictions cannot be solved.
Therefore, in real life, we need a set of values that have been explored and tested for a long time to judge right and wrong, otherwise the world will be in a mess.
Only by jumping out of personal position and persistence can we see the essence of things clearly and come up with real solutions.
"No self" is a kind of liberation, jumping out of the circle of "people and me" and reaching a higher level. "Having me" is a delusion and persistence, which deviates from the orthodox religion.
Cut off my limbs for you. Is that me? Cut off my head for you. Is that me? Obviously, you didn't see me ... so the Diamond Sutra says, "Ordinary people think there is me"!
So, what does "no self" mean? It is a "phase" that you are born with and "blends in" with various "karma" (various sentient beings and various environments). To sum up, the "obstacle" that this "item" can't get rid of is: "greed, ignorance and doubt"! Let's try to delete this ... So, "no self" means to let go of this "five poisons" persistence, let go again ... let go and get as much as possible. You are as free as you let go ... as comfortable as you feel! All the obstacles come from "I see"! Once, I thought every day that I would eventually become a pile of bones ... that pile of scum is not "me"-what are you clinging to?
