What does a flower mean?

"Yi Zhi Hua" is the name of the song brand, which belongs to Nanlu Palace. It is used in the number of Sanqu sets, as the first card, and also in opera music.

The whole song (excluding lining words) has forty-eight characters, nine sentences and six rhymes. The basic sentence pattern is: five, five, five, five, four, five, five, seven, seven.

Representative works include Han Qing's "A Branch of Flower: Not Fading the Old" and so on.

"Yizhihua" is a traditional Chinese tune with a long history, also known as "Zhan Chunkui".

Feng Guangyu mentioned in "Chinese Qu Pai Kao" that "Yizhihua" was used in both northern and southern music during the Song and Yuan Dynasties.

It was the latest to appear in the lyrics of Xin Qiji in the Southern Song Dynasty and the earliest Southern opera work "Zhang Xie Zhuangyuan". It was later used in the Jin Dynasty's palace tunes "Dong Jieyuan's West Chamber" and "Liu Zhiyuan's palace tunes".

It can be seen that this early "Yizhihua" mainly appeared in the form of vocal tunes.

According to Feng Guangyu's study of the Gongchipu collection "Jiugong Dacheng North and South Ci Gongpu" compiled by Yu Ding during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Zhugong Diao "Dong Xixiang" and operas "Pipa Ji", "Cailou Ji", "Yue Ling Cheng Ying" and "Eternal Life"

"Yi Zhi Hua" is used in the drama "Yi Zhi Hua" and has corresponding Gongchi Pu.

It is also included in Gongchipu of "Yuefu".
