How does Lenovo set bios to boot from USB flash drive?
Press the F 12 key repeatedly when the "LENOVO" self-test screen is displayed after booting (some ultrabook models may be the key combination of "Fn+F 12").
The startup menu will be displayed. In the displayed startup menu, move the cursor to the item selected by the red box in the figure, and then press enter to enter the U disk.
Some computers may display different shortcut start menus. The USB flash drive displayed in it is not the name of the USB flash drive, but USB-HDD, and this is also a USB flash drive, which also shows the optical drive item. If you want to start the computer with the system CD, you can select the CD-ROM drive item.
To boot a USB flash drive or CD from the BIOS in traditional mode:
When the "LENOVO" self-test screen is displayed at startup, immediately press the Del key to enter the BIOS setup main interface. Because the display time of the self-test screen is short, you can always press the Del key as soon as you turn it on. Some Lenovo computers may press F2 to enter the BIOS.
After entering the BIOS main interface, the main item is displayed by default. First move the cursor to the security item, and then use the up and down arrow keys to move the cursor to "safe startup", which means "safe startup settings" in Chinese. If you want to start a USB flash drive or CD in the traditional way, you must set this item and press Enter to enter.
After entering the subpage, select Safe Start, press enter to open a small window, select Disable, and then press enter to confirm.
Then select the startup item. First, choose UEFI/Legacy Boot, which means "new UEFI and traditional boot mode" in Chinese. UEFI only is now displayed. We have to choose compatible mode, that is, compatible with the traditional BIOS mode, so enter, choose both, and enter to confirm.
At this point, the UEFI/ legacy boot priority item will be added. We select this project, enter, and select Legacy First in the small window that opens, which means that the traditional startup mode should be listed first. Press enter to confirm.
After the above settings are completed, we begin to set the startup items. Still under startup, select the startup item and press enter to enter.
After entering the startup options interface, select the U disk hard disk SanDisk Cruzer Edge, which is the U disk startup item. First, move the cursor to this item, and then use the+/-key to move this item to the top, so that it is ranked at 1. This is the first startup item, press enter to confirm.
Because the version and model of computer BIOS are different, the items displayed are different, and what it displays is different. If you want to boot from a USB flash drive, just select "USB-HDD", if you want to boot from a CD, select "ATAPI CD0 HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GU70M", and if you want to return to the hard disk boot, select "Ata HDD 0HGST HT 3541Kloc-0/09E600" to move them to the+/-key.
