How to judge the quality of electric fan motor

The quality of the electric fan motor can be judged by measuring the DC resistance of the motor with a multimeter, as shown in the figure:

The picture above is a fan's data. The black and yellow wires are connected to the capacitor, and the red, white and blue wires are connected to the gear switch.

Measurement method:

1. Connect the black wire with any stylus, and then measure the resistance values of red, white, blue and yellow wires with another stylus, and the values should be close to the above figure;

2. The DC resistance of the motor varies with different manufacturers and specifications, but the resistance should be increased step by step;

3. It can be clearly seen from the above figure that the motor windings are connected in series, and the gear bit line is just a tap. If the resistance of a group of coils is infinite or small, it means that the motor winding is open or short-circuited, which means that the motor is broken and cannot be used;

4. Because the enameled wire of the motor coil is very thin, self-maintenance is very difficult. If there is any maintenance value, you can buy a motor of the same specification for another one. The price is not expensive, usually around 30 to 50 yuan.
