After Reading Chinese Virtues Story

I

The book "Chinese Virtues" is one of my favorite books. Because the book tells us a lot of virtues, which I don't have. So I learned a lot from it, such as saving, respecting the old and loving the young and so on. But what touched me y was this story:

There was a man whose family was very poor. In addition to his wife and children to take care of, there was an old mother. However, he served his old mother very well, leaving all good things to her, and at the same time educating his children not to make their grandmother angry about anything. So the grandmother was very healthy and lived with them for many years, and their family was so happy that the neighbors were very envious.

After reading this story, I felt very ashamed. Because once, my mom bought a new pair of shoes, and I was unhappy when I saw that I didn't have any. But I didn't realize that my mom's shoes had long been broken, while I still had several pairs of good shoes! When I know the truth, the heart is very regrettable, think of my mother up early in the morning and late at night, and I do not think of her at all, not to mention filial piety, compared with the person in the book, how small he is!

From then on, I began to know how to respect the elderly and be filial to my parents. My younger brother has also become more and more understanding under my leadership.

When I saw a poor child being bullied, and a young man stepped forward to protect the poor child, but he himself was beaten all over the body, how I respected that young man ah, I want to say to him, "Thank you, you are a great man!"

When I saw someone treating the flowers and plants very seriously, taking care of them as if they were his own relatives, and sincerely caring for the nature's grass and trees, how much I wanted to say to him, "Thank you, because of your true love, the flowers and plants will bloom more splendidly. You are the messenger of nature."

When ......

There are many, many more stories like this, I just didn't introduce them all. In fact, there is no lack of virtues in our life, and there is no lack of people with virtues, only what we lack is a pair of eyes to find beauty, a heart to trust others. There are many, many virtues in the Chinese nation, and it is up to us now to carry them forward.

Students, take action, with our actions to practice the traditional virtues of our nation.

Two

I finished reading the book "Chinese Virtues Stories" during the winter vacation, and I think that the story of "Confucius is a good learner" is particularly inspiring and educational for me.

This story describes Confucius' spirit of learning: Confucius was 60 years old, but he still had to learn the qin from his teacher. Unlike others, who were always eager to learn a new piece of music, Confucius would only learn a piece of music for two or three days, but he practiced a piece of music for ten days. Obviously, he was already skillful, but he still refused to change to a new tune. Why is this? It turned out that Confucius not only wanted to familiarize himself with the tune, but also wanted to figure out the essence of the tune and the character, personality, spirit and even appearance of the main character through the tune's melody. Confucius' spirit of learning y touched his teacher.

Thinking about myself, I feel very ashamed. Once, at home to do homework assigned by the teacher encountered a difficult problem, how can not figure out what to do. At this point, I thought why don't I just go to school tomorrow morning and see what the other students are writing, and just copy the answer and be done with it? The next night when the homework was handed out, I got an excellent grade. The teacher even praised me. However, now turn over the workbook to see, as if the excellent on an additional black spot, today read the story of Confucius, let me think of this matter again, to treat the study to be serious, encounter difficulties to be modest to ask the teacher for advice.

This story, so that I understand a truth: "Learning is the ladder of progress, is the cornerstone of success, only hard work, good learning, do not make a falsehood in order to achieve success."
