Difference between multi-arch bridge and single arch bridge

The difference is the structural form and bearing capacity.

1. Different structural forms: multi-arch bridge is a bridge composed of multiple arch members, and single arch bridge is a bridge with one arch member bearing the deck load.

2. Different from the bearing capacity, each arch member of a multi-arch bridge can bear a part of the deck load, so that multiple arch members can bear a larger deck load when combined. Both ends of the arch frame of a single arch bridge are supported on the pier or abutment. Single arch bridge is suitable for occasions with small span and low bearing capacity requirements. Its structural form is relatively simple, the construction is less difficult and the cost is relatively low.
