Decipher why terracotta warriors and horses are all single-fold, and pure China blood is all single-fold?
1974- 1977 in the east of Qin Shihuang's mausoleum 1 km, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit was excavated as one of the burial pits of Qin Shihuang's mausoleum. Pit No.1 is in the south, with a length of 216m from east to west and a width of 62m, and an area of13260m2. The second pit is124m long from east to west, 98m wide and covers an area of 6,000m2. No.3 pit covers an area of 520 square meters. * * * Unearthed 800 warrior figures, 8 wooden chariots 18, and more than 0/00 Taoma/kloc-0. According to the arrangement of the existing terracotta warriors and horses, there may be 7000 warrior figures in these three pits, 100 chariots and 100 horses. Tao is tall, about 1.8 meters.
The terracotta warriors and horses of Qin Shihuang are lifelike, but people have also found a problem. Those terracotta warriors and horses have single eyelids. Why? For such a problem. Bian Xiao compiled two statements for your reference.
The first one: the single eyelid theory of pure Han people.
Some scholars believe that the Terracotta Warriors and Horses have a wide face, a flat nose and a pair of single eyelids, which is a typical appearance of the Han people. These scholars suggest that a pair of modest single eyelids is an important feature of the Han people; Pure single eyelid squinting is an important feature of Tungusic people; Deep eye sockets and double eyelids are important features of Baiyue Malays, and Qin people are the most primitive and typical Han people. Scholars believe that after the Jin dynasty moved eastward, the genetic structure of the Han nationality was not as "pure" as that of the Qin and Han dynasties. Especially in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, northern nomads invaded the south (five wild flowers) and were assimilated by the Han nationality. The Han people who took refuge in the south also assimilated some indigenous people in the south, and the Han blood is no longer pure. Therefore, in the murals and statues of the Tang Dynasty, a large number of Hu people with convex noses and sunken eyelids appeared. But the single eyelid and the phoenix eye are still the mainstream aesthetics of the Han people, so everyone has a pair of slender phoenix eyes and single eyelids.
The second type: the pigment fades after oxidation.
According to this statement, the terracotta warriors and horses are made by imitating human beings, so the terracotta warriors and horses have different shapes, so they have double eyelids and single eyelids, but the double eyelids are painted with pigments. After the terracotta warriors and horses were dug up, the air was oxidized and the color faded, and the double eyelids became single eyelids. This statement also has some basis, because some scholars have confirmed that the terracotta warriors and horses are indeed painted, but they have faded due to time and oxidation.
Which of these two statements do you prefer? Bian Xiao thinks it is more likely to be the second case. Welcome to leave a message in the comments.
