Reasons for the emergence of Eurocentrism
The Industrial Revolution unveiled the prelude to the road of European capitalization.
With the gradual emergence of Western European countries, large-scale overseas colonial expansion began.
In the nineteenth century, Europe had established its hegemonic position by virtue of its strong economic and military power, and the plundering of resources in its colonies had slowly turned into a full-scale occupation.
Europe, which had trampled the world under its feet, believed that the success of this expansion was due to the superiority of its own civilization, and that the basis for this difference in superiority lay in the differences in human races.
It was on the basis of this sense of national superiority that the Eurocentric view of history gradually emerged.
