Characteristics of virtual circuit service

The main characteristics of virtual circuit mode are: one communication has three stages: call establishment, data transmission and call clearing, which is suitable for long-term data exchange between two ends. Data packets are transmitted in a fixed routing order, and data packets are stored at each node and queued for transmission. The packet transmission delay is small and reliable, and the packet is not easy to be lost. When a line or equipment failure may interrupt the virtual circuit, it is necessary to call again to establish a new connection.
