What is a bamboo dragonfly? How is it made?0 points

The bamboo dragonfly is a traditional Han Chinese folk toy for children, which has been widely spread. When you play, rub your hands together and then let go, the bamboo dragonfly will fly up into the sky. After rotating for a while, it will come down. It is a subtle invention in ancient China. This simple but magical toy once amazed Western missionaries, who called it the "Chinese Spiral". In the 1930s, the Germans invented the helicopter propeller based on the shape and principle of the bamboo dragonfly.

The bamboo dragonfly consists of two parts. One is the bamboo handle. With a piece of bamboo cut 20 centimeters long, 4 to 5 millimeters in diameter bamboo pole (handle). The second is the "wings". Bamboo dragonfly production steps:
