What is SMS?

SMS is a polypropylene spunbonded meltblown composite nonwoven material for surgical gowns.

S spunbonded, that is, spunbonded nonwovens;

M-mehblow, that is, meltblown nonwovens.

Spunbonded nonwovens-provide good tensile properties;

Melt-blown nonwovens-excellent filtration and shielding performance.

SMS composite nonwovens combine the advantages of spunbonded nonwovens and meltblown nonwovens, overcome their shortcomings, and have good adsorption, filtration, antibacterial and high air permeability.

Compared with the fabrics of SMS and SMMS commonly used in surgical gowns on the market, some disposable surgical gowns use SMMMS non-woven fabric as the main fabric of surgical gowns. Compared with SMMS fabric, it has stronger antibacterial performance, less dander or dust, better adsorption function and water pressure resistance, higher protective effect and more comprehensive protection for medical staff.
