As primary school English teachers, we should design primary school English homework in layers. The concept of stratification is diversified. However, with the deepening of difficulty and the increase of knowledge, teachers found that some students began to find English difficult to learn, and with the increase of written tests, the motivation to learn English was obviously not as good as before, and polarization began to appear. Nowadays, most primary school English teachers are responsible for teaching two or three classes. It is naturally very difficult to take care of every student, and some students will definitely fall behind. Traditional English homework has always been a dull and single form such as reading, copying, memorizing and reciting, and students' learning is very passive. Some underachievers hold a negative and indifferent attitude towards their "perfunctory" homework and other students' excellent homework. No matter what the teachers do, they seem indifferent. For a long time, we have invested a lot of energy in classroom teaching research, but there is relatively little research on extracurricular homework. 1. Differentiated work design

Traditional homework is an after-class exercise in books, which is unified for all students and applies to all students with a unified standard. However, because each student's knowledge, learning ability and hobbies are different, the effect of homework is not obvious. The practice of books is only the imitation of the contents of textbooks by students. Students only need to read the book without even thinking for themselves. There is nothing that students can't do, and there is no difference between top students, average students and poor students, which leads to the situation that students can't eat their homework. It is empty talk to improve learning efficiency through homework. Therefore, our homework assignment should go beyond the limitations of books, and teachers should design different homework contents according to the learning needs of different students, so that students at all levels can enter the development zone of thinking nearby, gain something from the homework and improve the enthusiasm of inquiry homework. Top students' homework design pays attention to the flexible use of knowledge and strengthens their understanding of knowledge; It is difficult for middle school students to design homework and consolidate their knowledge. For poor students, homework design should focus on basic knowledge.

2. Interesting homework design

Many students don't like doing homework. When they come home from school, they like watching TV and playing, and they have to bite the bullet and do their homework at the urging of their parents. Writing homework is also sloppy and perfunctory, and the quality of homework is not high. This is related to the learning interest of primary school students. Because the form of homework is monotonous, students feel bored and finish passively, so they don't like doing homework. Only when students' learning mentality is deeply attracted like watching TV, and students find the process of doing homework interesting, will they naturally like doing homework. For example, I asked students to find ten things at random from home and translate them in English. Students can choose furniture, fruits and flowers at home. They can find any English words they have learned, such as apples, tables, eyes and clothes. The students wrote many English words and remembered them in the process of searching. Let the students operate and make English cards. On Christmas, Mother's Day, Children's Day and other festivals, let the students make their own English greeting cards and write words of blessing in English to their classmates, teachers and parents, such as Happy Women's Day! Merry Christmas and others.

3. Preview homework design

In order to cultivate students' autonomous learning ability, I will give students some homework to preview some new words and sentences. No, students can look up English dictionaries and English dictionaries themselves. Preview does not require students to do all of them, but only let students tell their preview in class. In this way, students have a preliminary understanding of the new lesson, can find out what they don't understand, and can easily follow the teacher's explanation.
