Traditional roof style with the highest shape
Cilang temple
The top of the temple is a slope with four sides, one positive ridge and four oblique ridges. All four sides are curved surfaces, also called four tops. Double-eaved roof is the most advanced roof form in ancient architecture. Generally used in the main halls of palaces and temples, single eaves are also acceptable, especially in major occasions, such as the Hall of Supreme Harmony in Beijing.
