1. Fairy Festival is a traditional folk festival of the Nu people around Gongshan, Yunnan Province. Local also known as the Flower Festival, held on the fifteenth day of the third month of the lunar calendar every year. At that time, each village as a unit to select the stalactites of the cave for the fairy cave, people have to bring the sacrificial supplies to go to the festival.

2. This is also the season when local azaleas are in full bloom, and people also offer bunches of azaleas to the fairies. During the festival, pine smoke is lit and the officiating priest recites a toast, as well as playing drums and chanting sutras. Afterwards, everyone kowtows to pray for the fairy's blessing.

3. After the festival, each family hosts a banquet and drinks wine, while young men and women, dressed in festive costumes, go to an open space for an archery competition. At the same time, all kinds of material exchange gatherings are organized to attract local people of all nationalities to come and buy.
