Teaching methods of higher education
Teaching methods in colleges and universities have both the characteristics of teaching methods and the individuality of teaching characteristics in colleges and universities. It is a way and means for teachers and students to jointly carry out cognitive and practical activities in order to achieve teaching objectives, that is, to mainly study how teachers teach and how students learn. The components of teaching methods include teachers' teaching, students' learning and information transmission carrier. 2. Comparative analysis of traditional teaching methods

The disadvantage of teaching methods in contemporary colleges and universities is the simplification of teaching methods. Until now, teaching strategies have not yet formed a unified concept. In 2003 and 2004, Zhou Jun and Yuan Zhenguo respectively defined teaching strategies:
Teaching strategy refers to the process of selecting and combining relevant teaching contents, teaching organization forms, teaching methods and technologies according to certain teaching tasks and students' level and characteristics, thus forming a feasible teaching plan. It is comprehensive, operable and flexible.
Teaching strategy refers to a systematic decision-making and regulation mechanism that constantly adjusts and optimizes teaching behavior in order to achieve teaching objectives in a specific teaching situation under the guidance of certain educational concepts, so as to make the teaching effect tend to be the best.
On the basis of analyzing and drawing lessons from the above definitions, the definition of teaching strategies proposed in this paper is as follows:
Teaching strategy refers to the process of selecting teaching content, teaching methods, teaching means, teaching organization and other factors according to certain teaching tasks and students' knowledge level and personality characteristics, so as to form a feasible teaching implementation plan, and constantly adjust and optimize teaching behavior during the implementation of the plan to make the teaching effect tend to be the best.
2. The relationship between teaching methods and teaching strategies
Teaching without strategies is immature and difficult to succeed. Different views on the relationship between teaching methods and teaching strategies;
Li Kejian of the Teaching Training and Evaluation Center of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics tends to regard teaching methods as an important part of teaching strategies and an important factor that needs to be considered, selected and combined in teaching decision-making. He advocated the use of the term "teaching methods and strategies" without making a special distinction between them. He believes that the names themselves are not important, but it is important to understand and grasp their connotations.
The viewpoint of this paper is that teaching method and teaching strategy are two concepts, and the relationship between them is complementary. Without targeted teaching methods, good teaching strategies will not be formed and good teaching results will be achieved; Only targeted teaching methods, without targeted teaching strategies, can not achieve the ideal teaching effect.
