New material refers to a kind of material that has been developed recently or is being developed, and its performance is superior to that of traditional materials. 1? Superabsorbent composite: This material is widely used because it absorbs hundreds to thousands of times its own weight. Since the discovery of 1964, the United States, Japan and western Europe have conducted extensive research and made remarkable progress. However, the domestic development and application level is low, and the production capacity is about 6000 tons/year, which can not meet the market demand of 60 thousand tons/year. Huaqiao University developed a mineral-organic resin superabsorbent composite based on the national fund project. It maintains the properties of the original organic water-absorbent resin, and the cost is significantly reduced, so it has a good development and application prospect. Companies such as Quanzhou Hengan and Hengli consume a lot of water-absorbing materials every year.

2? Mold silicone rubber: This material is widely used because of its good process performance and mold performance. Traditional mold silicone rubber uses expensive fumed silica ink (65438+100000 yuan/ton) as filler. Huaqiao University applied the research results of the national fund project and used superfine modified mineral powder as filler, which not only maintained the performance of the original product, but also significantly reduced the production cost. The research results in this field have not been reported and applied so far.
