1, kungfu tea

Tasting kungfu tea is one of the famous customs in Chaoshan area. In Chaoshan area, every household has a Kung Fu tea set and drinks several rounds every day. The so-called kungfu tea is not a kind of tea or the name of tea. It's a tea-making technique. The reason why it is called Kung Fu tea is that this way of making tea is very particular, and it takes some effort to operate.

Step 2 shave fetal hair

In most areas of Chaoshan, when the baby is born at the full moon, the elders will shave his fetal hair. In some places, it is carried out on the day when the baby is born 12. The newborn's first haircut has always been regarded as a happy event. After shaving the fetal hair from the mother's womb, you can finally "start all over again", so the ceremony of shaving the fetal hair is serious and grand, paying attention to certain rules.

3. Seven courses

Seven dishes, a distinctive folk food custom in Chaoshan, are cooked with seven different vegetables, which means "making a fortune in the New Year". Although it tastes strange, it is mainly for good luck in the New Year.

4. Strike oil and fire

"Burning oil and burning fire" is the custom in Chaoshan. When you build a new house and live in it, the host must invite the teacher to come home once to drive away the evil spirits in the room, so as to live in peace with the family. This is an exorcism ceremony in Chaoshan countryside, commonly known as "strike oil and light fire".

Going out of the garden means that when boys and girls grow up to 15 years old, they will be baptized by such a ceremony. With regard to the origin of the word "leaving the garden", it is generally believed that underage children are in a colorful garden until 15 years old, announcing the transition from childhood to another era.
