Limitations of robot education in robot education

Robot has become an innovative education platform with high voice and is striding forward to basic education. Educational robots are in the initial stage in China. With the rapid construction of robot laboratories in primary and secondary schools around the country, as a course, some immature performances are becoming more and more obvious, and it has encountered many constraints:

1. Educational robot products lack standardization. The brands of educational robots developed by robot manufacturers at home and abroad are very complex, self-contained, incompatible and low in openness.

2. There is a serious shortage of funds, supporting parts and facilities, making popularization more difficult.

3. Robot education lacks scientific planning. The quality of "teaching materials" used in robot teaching is not high, and most of them belong to "product manual" or "user guide". Without the participation and guidance of curriculum and teaching experts, it is difficult for schools to independently develop their own school-based teaching materials.

4. The commercialization of competition activities is serious, and the direction of education development deviates. The organization forms of robot competitions are mostly organized by some robot manufacturers independently or jointly, and the supervision of education administrative departments is not enough, which leads to great differences in competition rules, referee determination and reward methods.

5. The administrative department of education does not pay enough attention to it and lacks research from the perspective of education. At present, the development of robot education in primary and secondary schools is promoted by educational robot enterprises to some extent. Although the contribution made by enterprises in the initial stage should be affirmed, with the gradual deepening and popularization of robot education, education administrative departments and teaching and research institutions urgently need full attention, coordination and guidance.

6. The quality of teachers is uneven. In the development of robot education industrialization, only by constantly cultivating a large number of outstanding talents who know multidisciplinary knowledge can we keep up with the development pace of robot era.
