On June 28th, 2007, the project of "Kaiping Diaolou and Ancient Villages" applying for World Heritage was approved at New Zealand 3 1 World Heritage Conference. This is also the first world cultural heritage project in Guangdong. So far, China's world heritage has increased to 35, ranking third.
