What kinds of sheep are there?

There are many kinds of sheep in China, mainly divided into two categories: sheep and goats.

I. Sheep

1, Mongolian sheep

It is the most widely distributed sheep breed in China. It is one of the three coarse wool sheep breeds in ancient China. Mainly distributed in Inner Mongolia.

2. Tibetan sheep

Mainly distributed in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

3. Kazakh sheep

Originated in the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain and the southern foot of Altai Mountain, it is distributed in Xinjiang and the border areas of Gansu and Qinghai.

4. Altay sheep

It is a local breed based on Kazakh sheep and has a long history. It is famous for its large size, fast growth and development of lambs and high meat fat. Mainly distributed in Altay region in northern Xinjiang.

5. Big-tailed Han sheep

Mainly distributed in parts of Hebei and Shandong, it has good fattening performance for meat.

Second, goats?

1, Liaoning cashmere goat

This sheep is mainly produced in Liaodong Peninsula, and it is one of the cashmere goat breeds with the highest cashmere quantity and excellent cashmere quality in China.

2. Inner Mongolia cashmere goat

This kind of sheep is produced in western Inner Mongolia and distributed in Erlang Mountain, Arbas and Alashan Zuo Qi. It is an excellent cashmere goat with the best cashmere quality and the highest cashmere yield in China.

3. Zhongwei goat is also called shamao goat.

This kind of sheep is produced in Zhongwei, Zhongning, Tongxin and Haiyuan counties in Ningxia, as well as in central Gansu and Alashan Zuo Qi in Inner Mongolia. It is a precious fur goat breed unique to China.

4. Jining Qingshan sheep

This kind of sheep is produced in Heze and Jining, Shandong Province, and its lamb skin is called Shuaizipi, which is a unique goat breed for lamb skin in China.

5. Horsehead goat?

This kind of goat originated in the mountainous areas of western Hunan and Hubei, and has now been distributed to Shaanxi, Henan, Sichuan and other provinces. It is one of the excellent meat goat breeds in the southern mountainous areas of China.

6. Mayang in Chengdu

Originated in Chengdu Plain.

7. White goats in the Yangtze River Delta

Goats are mainly distributed in Nantong, Suzhou, Yangzhou, suburban counties of Shanghai, Jiaxing, Hangzhou and other places in Zhejiang. This is a goat breed, which produces brushed wool in China.

8. Half-horn goat

Produced in Wanyuan, Chongqing Chengkou, Wuxi, Wulong and other places, it is an excellent goat breed with good meat performance.

9. Nanjiang antelope

Location: Nanjiang County, Sichuan Province. The production area is centered on Arctic Breeding Farm, Dome Ranch, three nearby districts and thirteen towns.
