How do people identify the authenticity of Hetian jade?
One, the identification of real and fake Hetian jade method:
1, light method
You can use a strong flashlight flashlight or cell phone flash side illumination of Hetian jade, if you find that there is a hollow small bubbles inside the jade, synthetic jade; if you see the cotton wool structure, it is Hetian jade. If you see granule-mounted structure then it is dolomite or quartzite.
2, hand touch method
For seed material, it will feel a sense of resistance, which is the jade in the "sweat pores" and hand friction. The roller seed material will be smoother and flatter to the touch, with a kind of slippery feeling.
3, look at the luster
This method is aimed at raw materials, natural Hetian jade in daylight to observe the reflective surface, its uniformity in the rotation process without change, and imitation Hetian magnified inspection can be observed on the polished surface, was a line, flake, reflective luster in the process of rotation there are changes.
4, look at the pores
Natural Hetian jade seed material has "sweat pores", the size of which varies, while the imitation of the seed material of the pores is too regular, very unnatural.
Second, Hotan Jade:
One of the "Four Great Jades of China" (three of which are Shaanxi Lantian Jade, Liaoning Cui Jade and Henan Dushan Jade). Traditionally, the narrower category refers specifically to the jade produced in the Hotan region of Xinjiang, which is famous for its Hotan "sub-materials"; the broader category refers to nephrite jade (real jade). Although Hotan Jade is named after Xinjiang and Hotan, it is not a regional concept in itself, and does not specifically refer to jade produced in Xinjiang and Hotan, but is the name of a class of products. China names stones with more than 98% tremolite content as Hotan Jade, all within the scope of the national standard.
Texture of Hotan Jade:
Texture is a comprehensive expression of the quality of jade, including shape, degree of moisturization, cracks, impurities and so on. The mineral composition of Hotan Jade determines its excellent texture:
(1) Because of its extremely fine grain size, its texture is very delicate, and it is what the ancients called "meticulous and chestnut", which is not as good as other jades.
(2) Warm and moist. That is to say, it has a greasy luster, giving people a sense of moistness and softness, which is what the ancients called "warm and moist", and sheep's fat jade is famous for being moist as sheep's fat.
(3) moderate transparency. This means that the jade is slightly transparent with a good head of water. The carved jade appears to be watery and alive.
(4) Very few impurities. Some of them reach the degree of flawlessness, and the inside and outside are consistent, which is what the ancients called "flaws do not cover up jade, and jade does not cover up flaws", or "gills from the outside, you can know the center".
