Set up a big stone slab (grinding slab) with a diameter of about two meters and a thickness of about one foot on the ground, with a total height of more than two feet, and it becomes a round table called grinding table, with a relatively strong vertical shaft made of elm in the center of the grinding slab (most people call it grinding pile); On the grinding disc is a roller (roller), which is a cylindrical stone roller, with a length of about 80 cm, a big head diameter of about 70 cm and a small head diameter of about 60 cm. The big head of the drum faces the pile and the small head faces outwards, which is convenient for rice production.
In daily life, stone mills were used for rice milling, flour milling and sesame oil pressing, which was an irreplaceable necessity in those days. At that time, it was the public property collectively owned by everyone.
