Chongqing People's Auditorium, located atNo. 173 Renmin Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, broke ground in June 195 1 and was completed in April 1954. It is an antique national architectural complex and one of the top ten cultural symbols in Chongqing.

It is a masterpiece of the ingenious combination of the traditional palace architectural style in China and the long-span structure of western architecture, and it is also one of the landmark buildings in Chongqing. Chongqing People's Great Hall consists of four parts: the auditorium and three buildings in the east, south and north, with a total area of 66,000 square meters, of which the auditorium area is 1.85 million square meters. The auditorium building is 65 meters high, with a clearance height of 55 meters and an inner diameter of 46.33 meters. The rotunda is surrounded by four floors.

During the period of 1987, in the Comparative Architectural History published by the Royal Institute of Architecture, there were 42 projects in which the contemporary architecture of New China entered the world architectural history for the first time, and the Chongqing People's Auditorium ranked second. 20 13 was listed in the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council in May. 20 16 September, Chongqing People's Hall was selected as the first batch in China.

The Great Hall of the People in Chongqing has a total area of 66,000 square meters, of which the auditorium area is 1.85 million square meters. The auditorium building is 65 meters high, the clearance height of the hall is 55 meters, and the inner diameter is 46.33 meters. Surrounded by four floors, the rotunda can accommodate more than 3,400 people. Chongqing People's Auditorium consists of four parts: the Central Auditorium, the South Building, the North Building and the East Building, covering an area of 25,000 square meters, of which the Central Auditorium covers an area of 1850 square meters.

The central auditorium of Chongqing People's Hall, facing the central axis, is a circular main building. The three-story dome of the central auditorium is supported by red colonnade columns and green glazed tiles. The golden roof in the center of the central auditorium is based on the design of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The semi-circular spherical shell roof frame in the middle is a double-layer steel frame structure, which combines the classical architectural style of China and modern western architectural design. The stage is14.36m in height and 23.2m in width, painted above the stage.
