Create French style and architecture

Li Jie was born in Guancheng County (Zhengzhou, Henan Province), with an unknown date of birth, and died at110. During his tenure as chief supervisor, he spent six years compiling the book Building French Style at 1 100, and published it at 1 103. The book has 36 volumes, 357 articles and 3555 articles. This book is a comprehensive and systematic summary of the experience handed down by craftsmen in past dynasties and the achievements of architectural technology at that time, and it was the standard of official architecture in the Central Plains at that time. During his tenure as chief supervisor, Li Jie presided over more than a dozen huge construction projects, and he was able to personally compare and study with craftsmen item by item. Therefore, the compilation of "Building French Style" has made considerable contributions to the progress of architectural technology at that time and later generations.

Illustrations are a major feature of this book. It uses six volumes to draw detailed drawings, including house floor plan, sectional drawing, local component structure drawing, color painting, sculpture drawing, construction instrument drawing, etc., so that users can see at a glance and facilitate the smooth construction.

This book is a symbol of the development of architectural technology towards standards and stereotypes in the Song Dynasty, which shows that the architectural engineering at this time is more rigorous and perfect.
