Is there any way to cultivate children's honest character?

Grasp the critical period of honesty education. Preschool stage, that is, kindergarten stage, is the initial stage and critical period for the formation of children's character and morality. Children in this period have strong plasticity and are easy to accept external information, which is a crucial period for them to get to know the society and develop basic behavior habits. Grasping this critical period and doing a good job in children's integrity education can get twice the result with half the effort.

Put an end to children telling lies for the first time. For the pre-school stage, parents must observe carefully, remain sensitive, try to put an end to the child's first lie, or let the child be severely punished for his first lie, let the child understand the consequences of lying, and let the child regard honesty as an insurmountable red line. At the same time, we should carefully analyze children's speech and behavior motives to help them face all kinds of difficulties and puzzles correctly.

Form the habit of keeping promises. Honesty and trustworthiness are inseparable. Honesty requires us to respect the true nature of things, and trustworthiness requires us to keep our word, keep our promise to others, and form the habit of keeping our word. You must make promises to your parents, teachers and classmates, and don't promise others easily if you can't.

Set an honest example. Parents themselves are a mirror, through which children's moral quality and behavior habits are gradually cultivated. Every word and deed of parents will become the object of children's imitation. How parents treat people and things and how to honor their promises will be deeply imprinted in their children's hearts.

Treat children with the same integrity. Some parents keep their word to others, but they are very casual with their children. They change what they have decided, and there is no reason to even talk about the past. In this way, when their children are disappointed, they are likely to "deal with a man as he deals with you". Therefore, honesty education should first start from itself and from its own side.
