3 Summary Arisaema cum bile is the name of traditional Chinese medicine, which is made from the fine powder of Arisaema cum bile from cattle, sheep or pigs, or from the fine powder of Arisaema cum bile from cattle, sheep or pigs by fermentation [1]. See Compendium of Materia Medica. Bile star [2].

6.2 Source: This product is made from prepared Rhizoma Arisaematis and fine powder of bile of cattle, sheep or pigs, or fermented from raw Rhizoma Arisaematis and fine powder of bile of cattle, sheep or pigs.
6.3 Features This product is square or cylindrical. Brown, taupe or brownish black. It's hard. The smell is slightly bitter.
6.4 Identification (1) The powder of this product is yellowish brown. The parenchyma cells are round and filled with gelatinized starch granules. The length of the needle-like crystal bundle of calcium oxalate is 20 ~ 90μ m.. The diameter of the threaded conduit and the annular conduit is 8 ~ 60um.
(2) Take 0.2g of this product powder, add 5ml of water, shake and filter, take 2ml 1 filtrate and put it in a test tube, add 0.5ml of new furfural solution (1 → 100), and add 2ml of sulfuric acid along the tube wall, and a brownish red ring appears at the junction of the two liquids.
6.5 Sexual taste and meridian tropism are bitter, slightly pungent and cool. Enter lung, liver and spleen meridians.
6.6 Indications: clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, calming wind and relieving convulsion. Used for phlegm-heat cough, yellow and thick phlegm, apoplexy with excessive phlegm and epilepsy.
6.7 Usage and dosage 3 ~ 6g.
6.8 Store in a ventilated and dry place to prevent insects from eating.
