Top Ten Jianzhang Masters

The top ten Jianjian masters are Sun Jianxing, Li Da, Chen Dapeng, Xu Jiayou, Xiong Zhonggui, Li Xiaomei, Que Meijiao, Yang Min, Huang Meimei, and Lu Zhuxing.

Sun Jianxing developed nearly thirty kinds of Jianjian, such as Golden Rabbit Hair, Oil Drop, National Treasure Oil Drop Jianjian, White Dot Partridge Spot, Obsidian Transformation, Different Hair, Hair Transformation, Kiln Transformation, Yellow Tianmu, Polygonal Cold Juice, Gray Beige, Gold Color Text Tianmu, Iron Embroidery Spot, Wooden Leaf, Tortoiseshell, Persimmon Glaze and so on.

Mr. Li Da's 1997 work "Oil Drop Jianjian" was selected as a collection of furnishings for the Ziguang Pavilion of the State Council. Mr. Li Da's works "Oil Drop Jianjian", "Oil Drop Marigold" and "Rabbit Hair Jianjian" are permanently collected by the Palace Museum.

Characteristics of Jianzhan's appearance:

Jianzhan is mostly with a large mouth and a small bottom, and some are shaped like a funnel; and most of them have a shallow rim and a shallow foot, and the root of the foot tends to have a trimming knife (commonly known as a chamfering angle), and the bottom of the foot is slightly slanted outward; and a few of them are with a solid foot (mainly for small round bowls).

The shape is simple and thick, and the handfeel is generally heavy. Jianjian is divided into four categories: open mouth, skimming mouth, converging mouth and bundle mouth, each category is divided into large, medium and small; small round bowls are categorized as small converging mouth bowls. Open mouth bowl: mouth flared, pointed round lip, oblique straight or slightly curved abdominal wall, shallow abdomen, under the belly inward. Shallow foot. Shaped like a funnel, commonly known as "hats bowl".
