Lancang, Yunnan: Longzhu Penglaozhai feels the cultural charm of "Lahu (West)"

"Our village is a border village, which really makes people feel far away, but many people are from outside Wan Li. Longzhupeng Village is one of the stockaded villages in Lancang County that still inherits the complete Lahu traditional culture. Walking into the village, the quaint and unique Lahu folk houses are naturally scattered in the mountains. The second floor of the house is mainly made of wood structure, with traditional blue hanging tiles. The upper floor is used for living, and the lower floor is used for raising livestock or placing daily necessities, which is integrated with nature.

The drum in the old village of Longzhupeng is a highly recognizable cultural landscape in the village, and people even call it "God Drum Lahu". The drums in the stockade are placed in pairs, one in the center of the stockade and the other in front of the Buddhist house. "The drums here are also divided into male and female, so you can't just knock." Li Yu said that our patron saint is Mupamipa, which means "heaven and earth". Whenever we need to pray for heaven and earth, we will beat the drums and dance while beating them. "Drum-pulling" has become the cultural card of the village.

In addition, the Lahu costume in Longzhupeng Laozhai is very different from other towns and villages in Lancang County, which is a highlight of Lahu costume culture. Most villagers in the stockade sew clothes by hand. They like to sew silver ornaments and embroidery on their clothes as decorations. This dress is fine in workmanship. Men, women and children all have their own characteristics and styles, and they like to carry a horizontal bag when they go out. Women's clothes are waist-high and skirts are feet-high. All black base cloth, inlaid with red stripe cloth or embroidered with red line pattern, beautiful and chic.

Relying on the unique cultural resources, the local government began planning to upgrade the village environment from 20 17, and the villagers' living environment was comprehensively improved. A folk inn with outstanding Lahu style was built, the original Lahu model house was restored, a viewing platform and a viewing plank road were built, and tourist toilets were provided. Today, the old village of Dragon Ball shed is full of new vitality.
