Ancient Greetings

Ancient meeting rituals include: making a bow, long bow, kneeling, bowing, bowing, and bowing.

1, bowing: bowing is a traditional Han folk etiquette. Compared with the universal greeting of the common people "arching hands", "bowing" is a common and solemn etiquette when meeting or thanking people. However, with the introduction of Western culture into China in recent times, the Chinese people have accepted and used the handshake salute, and such a beautiful way of meeting people as making handshakes has gradually been abandoned or even forgotten by the Chinese people.

2, long bow: ancient social etiquette customs, popular in most parts of the country, that is, the arching hand raised, at the top and bottom (hands clasped fists above the head, bowing). It became popular in ancient times, and it can be used regardless of the age and seniority of the people. But most of them are used between peers.

3, kneeling: kneeling is one of the most important rituals in ancient China, also known as kowtow, kowtow. In ancient Chinese traditional culture, the lower generation/social status of people to the elders/higher social status of people to perform rituals. This is not only true in ancient China, but also in most Asian countries. According to modern custom, almost no one today is willing to kneel anymore except on special occasions.

4, Dun head: Dun head is bowing, one of the nine worship. Ancient people sat on the ground, posture and kneeling is almost the same, the line Dunsou worship, take the kneeling posture, first arching hands down to the ground, and then lead the head to the ground, then immediately lifted up. Because the head touches the ground for a short period of time, only a slight pause, so it is called the head. Tengshou is a form of worship between equals. Kiso is a word of praise, and tengshou is a word of offense. Later, because it was the most important form of worship, people also used "dongshou" when they had something important to ask for.

5, bow: bow refers to the ancient kneeling ceremony, for the nine worship in the most solemn one. It is often used when a subject pays a visit to his father. Kneeling and arching to the ground, head to the ground. The meaning of the word "ki" is "stay, delay", and the meaning of "ki" is that the head touches the ground and stays there for a while.
