What kind of drama is Guangdong?

There are four major operas in Guangdong, namely Lei Ju, Han Opera, Chaozhou Opera and Cantonese Opera.

Lei Ju 1

Lei Ju originated in leizhou song, and it took more than 300 years to form a drama after four stages of development: girl song, exhortation song, big class song and Lei Ju. Lei Ju pays equal attention to singing and doing, especially singing. Singing is a combination of banqiang and traditional opera vocal system with Qupai style.

2. Han Opera

Han Opera, which was formed in Hubei in the middle of Qing Dynasty, was named Han Opera in the Republic of China. Han Opera is mainly spread in Hubei Province, as far away as parts of Hunan, Henan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guizhou, Shanxi and other provinces.

3. Chaozhou opera

The traditional operas of Chaozhou Opera are divided into two categories: Southern Opera of Song and Yuan Dynasties, Legends of Ming and Qing Dynasties, Civilized Opera and New Historical Opera, with more than 2,000 operas. Chaozhou opera has a history of more than 400 years. It is a vivid example of the survival of China's ancient operas on the stage, and it is one of the representatives of the excellent cultural expressions of the Chinese nation.

4. Cantonese Opera

Cantonese opera originated from Southern Opera, which was formed on the basis of Haiyan, Yiyang, Kunshan, Bangzi and other operas that flowed into Guangdong during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and absorbed folk music from the Pearl River Delta. Cantonese opera performances are held in places where overseas Chinese live in Southeast Asia and American countries.
