Why has Buddhist literature had a deep influence on traditional Chinese culture?

Important and influential Buddhist scriptures in the history of Chinese Buddhism include the Sutra of the Forty-two Chapters, the Sutra of the Anpang Shouyi, the Sutra of the Yin Holding Entry, the Sutra of the Twelve Gates of the Great and Small, the Sutra of the Way of the Earth, the Sutra of the Desire of Man to be Born and many others.
