Introduction of Liuhe Township
Liuhe Town is located in the north of Qing County, bordering on Tianjin. It is 16 kilometers away from the county town of Qingxian, 70 kilometers away from the downtown of Tianjin, and 180 kilometers away from the downtown of Beijing. Jinbao Highway and Liuhe Highway intersect in the township. The northern and northeastern part of the town is adjacent to Jinghai County of Tianjin, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Heilonggang River flow through the town. The town covers an area of 96 square kilometers, with 103,000 mu of arable land. The town has 44 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with a total population of 34,514 and a township of 10,000 people. 1996 was named a well-off town by the province, and in 2001, the town achieved a gross social output value of 707 million yuan. 2002 was designated as a "modernization and construction demonstration town" by the city of Cangzhou.
