Is slander and libel and defamation the original sin? What about theft? What about insult and verbal abuse?

Defamation, slander, libel, theft, insults and verbal abuse may be viewed and evaluated differently in different cultures and ethical systems, but in general, these behaviors are considered immoral and may cause harm and loss to others.

In some religious and philosophical traditions, these behaviors are even considered original sin or sin. For example, Christianity considers theft to be one of the Ten Commandments, Islam considers theft to be a grave sin, and Buddhism emphasizes the importance of not stealing. In many cultures and legal systems, defamation and insults are illegal because of the damage they can cause to the reputation and dignity of the victim.
