The Present Situation of Research on Costume in Ancient Chinese Novels
This paper takes the depiction of costumes in ancient novels as the research object, explores the historical trajectory of its generation and evolution as a kind of character portrait art, analyzes the characteristics of its form in different historical stages, reveals the cultural and psychological motives embedded in it, and constructs the history of character costumes as a branch of the art history of novels through the longitudinal literary description. character's costumes through the vertical literature review. At the same time, on the horizontal level, we compare and contrast with modern novels, foreign novels and opera costumes to further grasp the artistic characteristics and cultural connotations of ancient Chinese novels' costume descriptions, and analyze Chinese costume folklore through the perspectives of ceremonial costumes and costume phrases in the novels, in order to restore the historical reality of Chinese traditional costumes and costume culture to a certain extent. The text consists of three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The introductory part describes the origin of the topic and the current status of the research on the topic, the scope of the paper and the research method. The main text is divided into two parts and ten chapters. The upper part is the history of ancient Chinese novels depicting costumes, which contains six chapters: Chapter 1, tracing the three major literary origins of ancient novels depicting costumes: the traditional poems and fugues of presentation and aesthetics, the historical literature of brief writing and aesthetic virtues, and the combination of rhyming and dispersing forms from the literature of rap and singing; Chapter 2, describing the relationship of the actual recording method of novels' depictions of costumes before the Tang Dynasty with the beliefs and social trends of that time; Chapter 3, describing the dresses of the Tang Dynasty novels in the spirit of writing; Chapter 4, discussing the dresses of Tang Dynasty novels; and Chapter 5, discussing the dresses of Tang Dynasty novels and the dresses of Tang Dynasty novels. Chapter 4, analyzes the dress depiction in Song and Yuan novels under the influence of speech and program; Chapter 5, describes the process of Ming and Qing popular novels from programmed and fixed to realistic with the symbol of "Jin Pingmei Words"; Chapter 6, analyzes the dress depiction in Ming and Qing popular novels as a representative of "Dream of Red Mansions" and "The History of Confucianism and the Forests", and analyzes that the dress depiction in Ming and Qing popular novels has grown to be a successful art of reappearance. The next part of the book is a brief introduction to ancient Chinese novels, containing four chapters: Chapter 7, a comparative study of the depiction of costumes in modern novels from a sketch of God and realism; Chapter 8, a comparative study of the complexity and dynamics of the depiction of costumes in foreign novels, and a further analysis of the ****generality of folklore; Chapter 9, an interactive and comparative study of the programmed costumes of operas; Chapter 10, a folklore study of costumes in the vision of the novels.
