3dmax is the interior design industry dedicated to the mapping software, through the modeling, adding materials, texture, rendering and other processes, in order to create a realistic picture. So if you want to learn 3dmax, you must find some systematic courses, although there are many resources on the Internet, but it is difficult to really master this software without systematic learning. For this reason, a lot of professional 3dmax tutorial courses are provided, including the use of 3D software, rendering rendering, basic modeling tutorials, VRay rendering, lighting material use, interior design, mapping and other video tutorials. So, if you learn 3D modeling, you must check out Feather Rabbit's tutorials.
3DMax with polygonal modeling to create a dining room table and chairs
Click Create, select the geometry, switch the object to the extended basic body, and use the tangent cylinder to create by dragging in the scene.
Click Modify, radius is set to 750mm, height is set to 20mm, rounded corners are set to 2mm, and the number of sides is set to 36.
Modify is complete, and we need to create the model at the bottom. We still need to create it using the Tangent Cylinder tool, which needs to be created from top to bottom.
Click Modify and set the Radius to 65mm, Height to 1100mm, Rounded Corners to 5mm, Rounded Segments to 3, and Number of Sides to 36.
Let's click the Select and Rotate tool to give it a tilt angle.
Click Hierarchy, and click on Influence Axis Only to adjust the position of the model's axis appropriately to the position shown below. This will make it easier for us to use and rotate later.
Set to finish, we click to open the Angle Snap toggle tool, and hold down the Shift key to copy, copy it 120 °, select the instance of the way, the number of copies set to 2, click OK on it.
So the bottom of a support part, we have finished.
Next we need to create the chair part. Click Create, select Geometry, switch the object to Standard Basic, and use Rectangular to create it in the scene.
Click Modify and set both Length and Width to 650mm, Height to 500mm, Length Segmentation to 2, and Height and Width Segmentation to 1.
Select the Rectangle you just created, and click Modify to add an Edit Polygon modifier to it. Then select the polygon level to extrude it appropriately.
Then we select the Edge level and select the edges around the model and click the Set button behind Cut Corners to cut them appropriately, producing a basic model like this.
Select the Vertex level and select the bottom vertices and move their vertices appropriately to produce the tilt effect.
Next click on Modify to add a Turbo Smooth modifier, which aims to produce a smoother effect on the model, with the number of iterations set to 2.
The setup is complete, and once again a Polygon modifier is added, which aims to extract the lines from the model section. We then go to the edge level and select the edges that need to be extracted and use the loop tool to select some of these edges.
We have extracted some of the edges that need to be separated, and some of the edges below need to be selected as well. Once the selection is complete, we check to see if there are any missed or over-selected edges.
Then we need to click on the Settings button behind the Create Graph button, select the mode as Linear, and then click OK.
This way we have extracted the line we just selected. Check the Enable in Render and Enable in Viewport boxes. Set the mode to Radial, the thickness to 8mm, and the number of sides to 12, and we've created a chair section.
Select the chair model, we click the group button in the main toolbar to group it, click OK.
Click on Hierarchy, select the Axis of Influence only and move its axis to the center of the object, so that it is easier for us to rotate it.
Click the Select and Rotate tool, we select the chair and hold down the Shift key to rotate it 90° each to make 3 copies of the chair. The object is an instance, the number of copies is set to 3, click OK and that's it.
Such a dining table and chair model we have finished.
