What should I do if I want to be a wooden boat?
Dong, Tintin, Tintin, Tintin ... "As soon as you set foot in Zhu Hong Town, xinghua city, which is known as the hometown of shipbuilding, you will be attracted by the sound of this strange wooden nail boat ... Looking inside, a series of" shipbuilding maps "are displayed in front of people-dozens of farmers' wooden shipyards are lined up along the river, and some carpenters are sawing wood. It is said that as early as the Song Dynasty, there was a manual workshop in Zhu Hong Town to make coastal fishing boats. By the end of the Qing Dynasty, the craft of making bamboo wooden boats was more sophisticated and perfect. Zhou, Zheng, Chen, Wang, Feng, Cui and Li are the main surnames in the town, specializing in handmade wooden boats for agriculture, fisheries, commerce and other special purposes. By the mid-1990s, the output of wooden boats in Zhu Hong Town reached its peak. More than 270 families in the town are engaged in the production of wooden boats, with an annual output of more than 1 10,000 boats. Bamboo boats are mainly made of Chinese fir, supplemented by nails, hemp, lime and tung oil. The wooden nail boat should use natural aging Chinese fir, and the tree age must be more than 30 years. This kind of wood material is strong and tough, and the built ship has shallow draft, great buoyancy, heavy load, lightness, sensitivity and durability. After the ship is built, in order to prevent the corrosion of the ship plate and ensure the durability of the hull, the oil of the new ship must be refueled three times. After a period of time, tung oil can be completely introduced. Because the small wooden boat made in Hong Chu is small and unique, it is welcomed by famous scenic spots in China. Bamboo-hanging wooden boats are all operated by hand, and the process is complicated. There are no drawings in the production process, and it depends entirely on the vision and experience of the shipbuilder. Due to the high labor intensity, high working hours consumption and low profit, there are less than 80 carpenters specializing in this work now. This century-old traditional craft is in danger of dying out at any time, and it needs urgent protection and rescue. At the beginning of this year, the Zhu Hong Town Government established the Research Institute of Wooden Boat Making Technology, which specializes in the protection, development and research of wooden boat making technology and the training of a new generation of bamboo boat making carpenters. In addition, the Zhu Hong Town Government has started to build a wooden boat museum in Zhu Hong, China, and plans to build a wooden boat manufacturing industrial park in Zhu Hong, China in 2008. It is planned to reserve 100 mu of land as a centralized processing area for small wooden boats, so as to attract related supporting manufacturers of wooden boat manufacturing to operate in the park, hoping to form timber sales, tung oil supply, ironware and related industries. Zhu Hong Town Government also plans to hold the first China Zhu Hong Wooden Boat Traditional Arts and Crafts Festival on 20 10.
