Where is Daguanyin Temple?

Daguanyin Temple is located in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province.

Daguanyin Temple, located in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province (Ji Guo Road Qudong Road), is a Mahayana Buddhist temple with the theme of Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Daguanyin Temple follows the architectural style of the cloister in the Tang Dynasty, with a scale of five halls and eleven halls. The second floor is: Tianwang Temple, Freedom Hall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, seven buddha Hall, Fatang Temple, Oriental Third Temple, Western Three Sages Hall, Daguangming Hall, Guanyin Pavilion, Duobao Pavilion, Relic Pavilion, Tibetan Sutra Pavilion, Guest Hall, Zen Hall, Buddhist Hall, Fatang Hall and Tang Jie.

With a total floor area of15000m2, the pilgrimage complex in the center of the temple has been completed, with a building area of 9200m2. Daguanyin Temple is committed to promoting Mahayana Buddhism, Buddhism, and excavating, protecting and developing China traditional culture.

History of Daguanyin Temple:

After the prosperity of Tang and Ming Dynasties in Kannonji, the temple was destroyed by war and eroded by wind and rain during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, so it was rebuilt. Later, during the years of Qianlong and Xianfeng, the reconstruction of Daxiong Hall, King Kong Hall and THE TEMPLE OF JIALAN Hall was recorded in detail.

According to the records of stone tablets, during the Xianfeng period, the abbot Taihe and Zhang Buyun, who were stationed in Haimen, Xinzheng at that time, served as the prison, built the Houdong Courtyard in the temple, and founded Suiyang School to teach sage education and Buddhism for free.
