The armband "Five Stars from the East Benefit China" was unearthed. Experts found that there are 13 characters behind it. What are they?

In October 1995, the Niya ruins academic expedition team conducted a large-scale archaeological investigation in the Hotan area of ??Xinjiang, trying to find more valuable ancient ruins.

Their primary search target is the Niya ruins located near Minfeng County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang.

The Niya site was discovered by archaeological experts in 1959. According to appraisal and research, it was found that the site was a Jingjue ruins from the Han and Jin Dynasties. Because of its geographical location near Niya Village, experts called it

"Ruins of Niya".

Inside the current Niya site, ruins such as houses, courtyards, cemeteries, pagodas, Buddhist temple orchards, livestock pens, etc. were discovered. A large number of pottery, woodware, metalware, stoneware, etc. were unearthed. It is listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. At the same time,

It is also a famous historical, cultural and cultural scenic tourist area.

After several months of search and exploration, the Niya ruins academic expedition team still has not made any significant discoveries.

But just when everyone was feeling discouraged, a new discovery made everyone's eyes brighten.

During the excavation process, archaeologists dug up an inconspicuous ancient tomb. The tomb was a tomb for a husband and wife. Judging from the cultural relics unearthed in the tomb and the gorgeousness of their clothes, they both belonged to the aristocratic class of the Western Han Dynasty.

It is worth mentioning that when the tomb coffin was opened, archaeological experts discovered that the right arm of the male corpse was tied with a piece of brightly colored brocade.

The brocade is colorful and has a lot of handwriting embroidered on it.

With excitement and skillful techniques, the experts finally removed the colorful brocade armband completely and sent it to the laboratory for further research.

Through the research of archaeological experts, it was found that the tapestry was in the shape of a rounded rectangle, with a length of 18.5 cm and a width of 12.5 cm. It was decorated with white silk borders, about 21 cm in length and 1.5 cm in width.

The brocade is fine and light in texture, and the colors are intertwined in a measured way. There are eight Chinese characters in seal script woven on it, which say, "Five stars come out of the east and benefit China."

But archaeologists soon discovered that the writing on the arm guard was incomplete.

Experts can deduce the dynasty of the tomb owner through the material of the brocade arm guard, but cannot deduce what historical events occurred in it.

Soon the experts came up with a new idea - this may be just half a sentence, and there should be another half sentence in the tomb.

But finding the other half of the sentence seemed to be like finding a needle in a haystack for archaeologists. After calculation, experts determined that the cloth came from the Han Dynasty.

This makes experts even more confused, because most of the costumes in the Han Dynasty were mainly dark colors, and rarely had such brilliant colors.

Moreover, there are also strange patterns such as sparrows, suns, unicorns, etc. painted on the cloth. This is a symbol of happiness, and there must be other connotations in it.

While the experts were deliberating over it, a surprising piece of good news came: the remaining part of the text was found in the same tomb, on the trousers of the female corpse.

The pattern and material of these trousers are the same as those of the arm guards, and they are a fine product of the Han Dynasty.

After repair, it was discovered that there were 13 more characters at the end.

Experts pieced together the 21 characters and made a major discovery.

After restoration, the complete content that the tomb owner wanted to express is: "The five stars came out of the east to benefit China, conquered the Southern Qiang, conquered the four barbarians, surrendered to the Shan Yu, and be in harmony with the sky."

Now the truth became clear. This was a war in the Han Dynasty.

Pictures of wars from thousands of years ago suddenly appeared in front of the experts.

In 25 BC, the rulers of the Han Dynasty were brave and proficient in war and continued to expand their territory. Many ethnic minorities were unable to resist and had to succumb to the control of the Han Dynasty.

But all this almost turned around. In the same year, the Southern Qiang suddenly rebelled. The sudden rebellion caught the Western Han Dynasty off guard.

Faced with such an unexpected situation, General Zhao Chongguo took the initiative to apply to quell the war.

However, Zhao Chongguo was already an overage veteran at the time, and Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty did not dare to hand over this important task to Zhao Chongguo easily.

In the crisis of form, Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty decided to ask Qin Tianjian, who was good at divination, to predict the form.

After observing the celestial phenomena, Qin Tianjian said something to the emperor: "When the five stars come out of the east, China will benefit greatly, and the barbarians will be defeated. When Taibai rises high, it will be auspicious for those who dare to fight deeply with troops, and misfortune for those who dare not fight." It probably means that Zhao Chongguo is brave.

Fearless is the primary candidate for this war, and if he fights, he will definitely put an end to the war.

Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty followed Qin Tianjian's suggestion and ordered Zhao Chongguo to go to war.

As expected, it didn't take long for Zhao Chongguo to defeat the barbarians and return in triumph.

So Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty celebrated with the whole country, and this incident was also recorded.

The owner of the tomb was a royal nobleman. He experienced this incident personally and was very happy. He recorded the incident on a piece of cloth and partly on his wife's trousers.

A small brocade arm guard gives us a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the history of the Han Dynasty.

Every ancient relic has its value, and every ancient relic also has its meaning of existence.

Brocade arm guards not only demonstrate the charm of silk weaving craftsmanship of the Western Han Dynasty, but also pass on the traditional patriotic sentiment to today.

We admire the wisdom of the ancients. Although the conclusions drawn by Qin Tianjian through observing the planets have no scientific basis, they are inspiring and make the soldiers in the court believe that this war is inevitable and victory is inevitable.
